As a music teacher, it sounds like a Polka, 2/4 from beginning to the end of the phrase, also known as 2 Step. That's what gives it a European folk dance sound to it. And it seems that the Duo treats it this way. But you can call it 14/4 giving it an arty Math Rock genre name, if you like... But it remains a Polka.
