They always have done this with economy cars. The first Sentra came out in the 80s for about 5-6 thousand. Very simple and boxy. Cheap reliable transportation just like the Toyota Carrolla just like the Honda. Then they get fancier and more expensive and before you know it it's just an over priced luxury car that's got problems.
