it is INSANE to me how many softwares just.. do not have perpetual licenses anymore. Thanks to Adobe that practice has all but ended. As an artist though, i refuse to pay subscriptions because... my income doesnt work that way

And the ‘free’ options have so many ads that they are almost unusable which forces you to pay. Like why am I seeing tons of ads on Snapchat daily? I have blocked so many companies on that app just so I don’t have to watch their ads or have them pop up and yet they still pop up

I’m also getting pissed bc so many “subscriptions” sneakingly lock you into a year, and even many regular purchases I accidentally and up signing up for a subscription. Going thru my CC bill for the last 2 months and I got charged for SO much shit without my awareness
