A former employee of JPMorgan Chase is at the center of a rapidly developing legal controversy. Sources have identified the individual behind a recent lawsuit—originally filed anonymously as “John Doe”—as #ChirayuRana, a former banker at the company who is now working at Bregal Sagemount. Rana had accused executive #LornaHajdini of serious workplace misconduct, alleging coercion, abuse of power, and retaliation. The lawsuit also named JPMorgan, claiming the company failed to properly investigate his complaints. However, the claims are being strongly disputed. Hajdini, through her legal team, has denied all allegations, stating she never engaged in any inappropriate conduct and was not involved in the situations described. JPMorgan has also pushed back, saying an internal investigation—including reviews of communications and interviews with staff—found no evidence supporting the claims. The bank added that the complainant did not participate in the investigation process or provide key details. Additional reporting indicates that Rana and Hajdini worked on the same team but did not directly report to each other, raising questions about some of the power dynamics described in the lawsuit. The original court filing has since been withdrawn for corrections, and no trial date has been set. As of now, the allegations remain unproven, and the case is expected to continue through the legal system. The situation is drawing attention online, with many debating the claims, the investigation, and how high-level workplace disputes are handled in major institutions.
