if I were to plant these in north oregon in mid june after doing this process would they survive or should I just wait till next year?

They germinate faster if you snip off the tip of the pointed end of the seed. After snipping place them in a damp paper towel or I let them soak in a bowl of water. I had germination in four days. @Hygge Haven has a great step by step video on this.
