Para mí esta pintura representa a la vida y la felicidad apagada del hombre que está atrapado en un ciclo vicioso de nostalgia, la felicidad y la vida le están esperando afuera, la alfombra es otra ilustración del mensaje que podría leerse: el hombre no encuentra la felicidad, está la espera afuera, y la vida sigue, dejando la inocencia atrás.

de echo el niño es el mismo adulto, pero en diferentes versiones, el niño pinta, el adulto vive en la nostalgia de cuando pinto acostado en sus pinturas,la cama está intacta, no a dormido por noches, la cinta son recuerdos que lleva repasandouna noche o más, esta llegando a quedarse sin cordura y lo único que le queda es su pasado. (es lo que yo creo)
