This is a personal headcanon and cool twist heh...) Milan was originally a human child who was eaten by a young mimic. However, instead of simply dying that child’s consciousness became trapped inside the mimic’s mind, leaving the creature alive but with the boy’s mind living within its body. Most mimics constantly hunt and eat humans, their predatory instinct eventually takes over their entire mind, leaving little to no empathy or hesitation. The more humans they consume, the stronger that instinct becomes. Milan is different, that instinct never fully took control. His body continued to grow and evolve like a normal mimic and eventually reached the elder stage, becoming a powerful predator. Over time, the mind inside matured as well, growing into an adult after decades of living in the creature. Even though he understands the instincts of a mimic and how to hunt and survive, Milan refuses to eat humans. Instead, he survives mostly on animals, believing it is the only way he can live with what he has become.
