@itsmrskelly: People will ask me… “how are you so happy all the time?” Well I’m not. Let me assure you quite quickly! Neither am I miserable. But I do understand, I think to some degree, the nuance of living brings about many days, moments and thoughts of wanting to be anything but. Living that is. If I were a skeleton, which I am, would I be happy with how I spent my time here? More than happy, would I be at peace? I think it’s quite clear that generally speaking, as a society, we are not good with peace. We can’t even be at peace with ourselves, let alone one another, and yet we want all of the answers that come after that. Peace is the foundation, see. You can’t heal without addressing the root, you can’t have peace without first digging through the trenches. And peace, like happiness, is ever something to seek. Children know peace and happiness well and we do everything within our humanly power to strip them of that, raise them up to see the world for the evil it has been to us, and the have the audacity to ask… “where did that fun loving child go to?” Peace is inherent, and we forget that. We avoid it like a plague, and favor all of the answers this world can offer us above it. I’m not at peace, I’m striving to be. I stay alive, exhausted beaten and burned, weary and worn, in order to strive. To venture onward. To hope that around the corner I can be better, and make better, and hope better. I want to achieve betterment. Not the best. Not perfection. Just something above. For the thought this world can be more warm to all of us. If I were dying today I’d want one more day, loving those around me the best I can, I am so grateful for love I do not feel I deserve. May we all be a little less hard on ourselves, and a little more peace bound. Your enemy is not your neighbor. #1924us #life #hope #Love #peace
