Don't tell him, if you get married after telling him you'll always feel you pressured him. Stop sending him hints, Stop mentioning it & give yourself a deadline, if no proposal move on. Or discuss with him what the next 2 - 5 years look like... house, cars, holidays, work, marriage... don't focus it on marriage maybe he does have a plan. 7 years together isn't an issue without a proposal, but if you're not heading in the direction you see life going then don't wait around

I did something similar to this, it was my dream dress and I found it at an op shop. and tired it on and it was a little bit bigger then I am but I was told that I could always alter it if I didn't gain the weight and so I brought it
