please dont do this forever for her. I know making things easy for autistic kids helps them stay calm and comfortable but the one thing in life they need help with the most is learning ways with dealing with the hard things in life. for non autistic people we learn to overcome what we find difficult how from trouble shooting and other things but its not so easy for autistic people. if she struggles with things not being in the same place then this means what will help her is learning how to be okay with things not always being in the same place. its not a sign that things need to change to be in the same place, thats not helping. autistic kids dont get the right help a lot of the time and it makes me feel sorry for them😢

I am the exact same with my little boy, people don’t realise how much thought, care and work goes into raising a child with autism, or any other disability at that. We do our best for our baby’s. Your smashing it 🥰 xx

at some point i went "that's too much wtf" but in reality i just cant comprehead that this many needs could exist in a single person because i myself never got the chance to actually have the space to explore my needs to this level of detail. I think you are such a great person, because being this perticular means the child feels safe enough to fully express their needs without fear of judgement and therefore have a safe space in you to be as comfortable as she possibly needs ❤️

I love that you just do this without even thinking about it. I realise it’s taken a lot of work to get to this stage and I’m not downplaying it but it’s lovely to see a parent just being there for their kids without it being a big deal. My son is auDHD and he is particular about things too and even family don’t understand why he needs such things. A nice bath, comfy familiar clothes and her spot to sit sounds great.

this is pure love... someone thinks its bare minimum to do for your neurodivergent child but in our timeline not at all. as an adult autistic person who was a child once i see sometimes it could be really tiring but in the end i hope its rewarding to see how your daughter feels she comes home into safety, made by her mum. like a bird nest.❤️

thank you for sharing this. I am a school transport driver, and take children to school, all have autism, and its nice to actually learn what happens as I only see a snippet of there day and want to know more to understand better.

I’m a rather low needs autistic child(I don’t know if that’s an offensive use of terms or not, so sorry😓😓) and I have to take full care of myself, and my own special needs exhaust myself. Do you ever feel exhausted doing all of this for her? I’m sure it feels worth it, considering she is your child, but just curious. I really am worried about coming across rudely, I hope I didn’t

It’s the same for my daughter. I need to prepare everything before she will come back home from school. The biggest problem is when I’m picking her up and our car is not in the usual place.
