As a mom we absolutely need to take our kids to public places so they learn social norms BUT we as the parent need to actively correct the unwanted behaviors. So many times I see kids having a meltdown or destroying the public space and the adult just goes oh well and ignores it. That's what bugs me.

I take my child everywhere. Idc what anyone thinks. As the adult with self control. This is your opportunity to exercise that.

I don’t think people like this understand the effect they have on postpartum moms either. Genuinely they would prefer for all babies to just stay home, which means all moms would just stay home all the time!!

you can choose to have a child free life, but don't expect to have a child free world. if you're in a public space that isn't already designated adult only, expect to encounter children and what comes with them being in that space. sometimes they have big emotions that they haven't learned how to regulate yet so a meltdown happens. either offer support/help or ignore it and walk away.

The way people react to children “miss behaving “or having a melt down vs how pe react to adults specifically elders doing the same is gross.
