@holixtic: This is your gentle reminder that you are allowed to outgrow things. Practices. Identities. Versions of yourself that once made total sense. We are not meant to stay the same. As we age, grow, and expand — our bodies change, our needs change, our relationship to movement changes. Clinging to what we were can be fear of change rather than devotion or discipline. What deep yoga practice is really teaching us in my opinion is to cultivate awareness. It's building the capacity to listen — to ourselves, to our needs, to our own evolution. Sharpening our edges and our intuition so we stop outsourcing our wisdom to a teacher, a sequence, an identity — and start trusting what we actually feel and need. That's the whole point. The postures were always just the door. And we have to meet ourselves fresh every single day. Not the body we had yesterday, not the practice we built ten years ago — this body, this season, this moment. Every season asks something different of us. The wisdom is in being willing to hear it. Oh yes! and flat abs do not equal a healthy, functional body! Chronic bracing is not strength. A pelvic floor that never releases is not a responsive healthy one. Drop a 🌿 if you're in a season of unbecoming — releasing what no longer fits to make room for what's next. #ashtangayoga #holisticmama #pelvicfloor

I love this way of thinking. What works for you at 20, might not work for you at 50.

This is all so true!!! I'm pretty sure my issue is clenching because I'm plenty strong. I've been trying not to clench, but is there something specific I could be following to help with this?
