You should try the LSKD new pacer run short, it’s got a high rise thick waistband but still a thin breathable material with a side split!

They’re not split shorts but I love the alo match point shorts. I haaaaate tightness around my thighs and they are perfect for me. But I also don’t wear split shorts running so not sure if you’d like them as an alternative. And they’re $$$$
