This literally just happened to me. My son was in the hospital and I missed 5 days. Then my lawyer took all of my buffer money and I've been pinching Pennies since. I so badly want a job that's not customer facing and that makes enough money so my kids and I live comfortably without getting a second job 😭

I am lucky enough to have extreme flexibility with my job and my boss. at the same time, we are in financial strain. I was in a wreck about 1.5 ago and we have been down to one car since. I couldn't afford to get it fixed and couldn't afford to keep paying on a car I can't use. We are desperately needing another vehicle but not in the position to be able to get a loan to get one. I love what I do! But the pay just isn't there. If I could find something part time that could pay me what I make now without me having to leave the house it would be a huge win!

I have no idea how to talk about the skills I have from 20 years of service in social work without a degree. I started from the bottom worked into a program coordinator role and am now starting all over again making Pennie’s 😩
