Having ADHD, the bruses were never that surprising. But the pain... no doctor ever thought it was anything and I just learned to live with it. Learning about this is life changing.

My first appointment is May 4th with a vascular doctor. I have 2 insurance plans because of my employment and my husbands. My secondary plan covers lipedema but my primary does not. I also live in a small community that does not have MLD specialists. I'm not sure what I'm up against but I am incredibly thankful for the voices speaking out about this and all the helpful information.

It was because of TikTok that I realized I had Lipedema a few years ago. I just got my official diagnosis yesterday and I’m hoping to start sharing about my treatments going forward because bringing awareness is so important. If it wasn’t for TikTok i would have had no idea! Thank you for taking about such a vulnerable and personal issue 🫶🏼

Unfortunately I’m both types 3 and 4. My legs started first and my arms followed. When my arms exploded that’s when I realized the “thing” I always had was DEFINITELY a real thing and not in my head. I got diagnosed 5 months ago. It was so validating!!

I'm so upset that not a single doctor I told this to bothered looking a single thing up about it. The patients have been educating the professionals on women's health
