In Europe the card companies are only allowed to charge 0.3% per transaction, still a LOT of money in the end, but 2.5% as it is in US is highway robbery.

When i pay 50$ the vendor wont get 48$. They get their 50, and 52 will be drained from my account. So the 50 will continue forever though the 2$ will be drained from other amounts of our money not from the 50$ it self. So the 50$ will not be 5$ after multiple transactions. It is 50 forever. Also the money is yours not bank’s. The bank only holds for you and acts as your financial agent. I am not defending banking systems but this is not the way and, every system has advantage and disadvantages but we have to define them precisely.
