Any experienced painter is not taping lol. I have shaky hands and I can cut in just fine with a good brush.

Professional painter here. I thing this is a pretty cool invention! The fact that it leaves 1/8” gap can be useful so you can put a tiny bead of caulk on the gap and leave a REAL crisp line. However it only works well if the wall is straight

If you tape anything you’re not a painter. The only time painters tape should be used is masking off plastic and cutting finished boards

Painters like to brag they don’t need tape, but no painter has ever painted straighter than a piece of tape. They just do an acceptable job with no tape, faster. That being said, that tool is not getting close enough for me.
