@nichellelaus: Weapons of Opportunity 🇨🇦 I get asked this question constantly: “Can I carry something for self-defense in Canada?” Our laws are stricter than many people realize. In most cases, you cannot carry an item with the intent of using it against another person. However, in a real emergency, something you already have with you can become what’s called a weapon of opportunity - meaning you used what was available in the moment to protect yourself. But remember: Intent, context, and proportional force all matter - and you may still have to explain your actions afterward. ⚠️ I’m not a lawyer.
