in our game, the bard became a sort of safe haven for a critically injured Shar so she could rebuild her powerbase and try to reconcile with Selune. The bard made her swear with a pinky promise.

@Rosie's Apothecary (This is why I include you, DnD indirectly teaches these concepts.)   So no one is "removing" parts of the universe. Shar, like Sophia desires for the sparks to be united, whole and complete.   Not scattered everywhere, given/stolen by insects/fireflies who do not even acknowledge or make use of that spark.
