(1) 👋🏼 I have experienced it, and witnessed 👁️ it over & over again since 2013….a whole decade of watching this cycle repeat itself 🫣 It is one of the reasons I got into Mobility Coaching to begin with (but that is a story for another day) 🤓 So…what can you do if you are stuck in this loop & your pain becomes chronic as you avoid certain movements? 1. Assess don’t guess! A joint assessment & movement screen for your WHOLE BODY can give you lots of information as to where you compensate & how to A) avoid compensation B) work on that compensation until eventually that movement doesn’t bother you. But you won’t know where to start unless you test! 📐 2. Regress movements you cannot do, to something you CAN do. Again the assessments matter here as they will highlight WHAT movements you have issues with & WHERE to start (usually its best to meet you where YOU are already at, and work from there…rather than forcing a range you do not have yet). 💚 3. CONSISTENCY! Mobility Training takes time & injuries create all sorts of side effects which can mean it takes a while to improve.
