@miranda.beacon: When I was pregnant the first time, I spent so much energy trying to do everything perfectly. I worried about things I couldn’t control, overprepared for some things, and completely underestimated others. Now that I’ve been through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum once, I see things so differently. If I’m blessed with another pregnancy in the future, there are definitely a few things I would do differently: • Give myself more peace in the first trimester instead of spiraling into “what ifs.” • Build a baby registry based on what actually helps in real life. • Be more proactive about baby positioning and learning during pregnancy. • Meet with a lactation consultant before baby arrives and get early assessments. • Set up sleep and night-feeding systems that support both baby and mom. • Find community with other moms sooner. • And most importantly, allow myself to rest and accept help. The biggest lesson motherhood has taught me so far is that you don’t have to figure everything out alone. Every baby, every pregnancy, and every postpartum season is different, but learning from experience is such a gift. If you’re a mom, I’d love to hear from you: What would you do differently after your first baby? Let’s help the other first-time moms out there feel a little more prepared and a lot less alone. 💛 #motherhood #postpartumjourney #pregnancyreflection #firsttimemom #momlife
