@chlo.fitzp: what’s your biggest concern entering the healthcare/radiology field? these are what I think the downsides of working in radiology & healthcare are.. my thoughts on radiation exposure, working in radiology during pregnancy, starting IV’s, dealing with blood, work from home options and hospital life. #healthcareworker #medicalfield #radiology #radtech #nuclearmedicine

Be a radiation therapist and train to be a dosimetrist. You can work from home as a dosimetrist. The pay is great as well!

i just wanted to say that as someone who has worked retail for the past two years while going to school to earn my prerequisites, i’ve studied and found out that there’s a higher risk of endocrine disruption from being exposed to receipt paper for a long period of time than there is for the small amounts of radiation that you’re exposed to in the long run.

Which ones are less likely to use needles? I’m thinking about going into radiology but have fainted before from a needle?😅😅

There’s a girl I follow here on TikTok that started as a rad tech, went into MRI (at least I think that’s what it was if I remember correctly) & now works from home

hi! I’m thinking about either pursuing MRI tech or nuc med tech right now, after completing my bachelor’s in comp sci. I’ve heard that nowadays MRI tech jobs have been getting more oversaturated (at least in California) which is honestly one of my biggest fears. From your experience, was it easy for you to find a job after you completed your program?

I was pregnant and worked the whole 9 months and my baby girl was perfectly safe, she’s 2 years old now 💪 just got to make sure to do all the safety precautions right 🙏🏼

my 15yo is interested in radiology but she's had 4 spinal surgeries and is probably going to need a c1/c2 fusion as well. Besides MRI is there a modality you think is easier, physically?

is it possible to ever end up being able to work a set schedule in radiology? like if you get a job at a clinic or something instead of the hospital can you have a m-f 9-5? or is it always spontaneous? my problem is if my 2 days off aren’t together i actually go crazy 😭

Radiation was my concern 😅 I was wondering how they check and if one can accidentally get exposed without realizing it 🥲
