This is mostly Apple fanboy fiction. Windows does not just throw apps into RAM "first come, first served". Macs do not "skip" memory management, and there is no magical "top of the bucket" faster RAM. An 8GB Mac can beat some cheap 16GB Windows laptops, especially if the Windows machine has a weaker CPU, slower SSD, or worse overall design. But that’s a whole-laptop comparison, not proof that Apple invented wizard memory.

Nope, it doesnt outperform. This macbook is good for netflix, tiktok, browsing, basic document creation and thats all. Multitasking, multiple (not apple specific)apps running at the same time will kill it. This laptop could have been a tablet 😅.

Apple did one thing differently... they use special en- and decoding chips to handle video files. I have no idea why windows wouldn't do that as well. After all, most cheap phones have similar chips build in and that's why a 500 dollar phone can handle GoPro files with easy and a 5000 dollar PC can't.

Cool tech but consumers sacrifice choice with everything being integrated. My laptop aint no powerhouse but I can choose to install or remove my hard drives. Plus ram is also removable

8gb of unified memory is honestly better than 16gb of sodim ddr4 disregarding memory management or optimization.

macos also uses a lot less resources to begin within which mean there’s more memory for applications.

Not totally right in all cases. Some CPUs have integrated memory controllers some delegate to the chipset on the mobo.

What a load of half truth. Mac is better at memory management cause they make the whole computer, And it's running on a modified bsd kernel - with very little need for backwards compatibility. Windows still have full 32bit support, Mac does not. Windows can run most DOS applications, those are some 25 years old now! Sure, some tinkering required, but the libs are there. I do prefer mac now a days, but it's not as magical as this dude is trying to make it sound. P.s. The macbook neo is definitely a decent machine and will be more smooth to use than most windows pcs in the budget segment. (thou it is 8000kr in Sweden, for which you get a decent/entry gaming Windows laptop here..)
