Anytime I try to speak how I feel about something he has done that makes me feel a certain way my husband just says you always have to point out the negative , I can’t do anything right … I can not figure out how to speak to him without him feeling this way because Im not trying to make him feel like he does everything wrong I just want him to see how what he’s doing comes off as hurtful to me.

Sqme!!!!! Been with my husband 26 years and I feel we've are barely scratching the service on good communication. It's basically our only issue but it's a huge issue. He a good guy. Im torn and frustrated.

I think that actually is normal. lol it takes so long, especially if you start a relationship young because you both are growing up and changing at the same time…AND continuously trying to communicate.

I have a fantastic therapist that we now share. We have gone over the lapses in communication AD NAUSEAM in sessions together. I come in peace. My position is clear. She just cannot reconcile it. This week (8 years in) she acknowledged the situation on two occasions. A MIRACLE 🥰

I always find myself asking “do you know what that word means that I just used” with the response of no and then it’s a rabbit hole of definitions. As frustrating as it is though comprehension holds more value than communication does which goes hand in hand with how impact is more important intention.
