My husband taught me that even pretty annual flowers are important. yes, they attract loads of pollinators, but they are also good for birds and people's mental health. so grow those pretty flowers too...not just herbs and perennial plants! every beautiful thing has a purpose!

I started growing flowers when I had pollination issues with my veggies. Make sure the bees know you have a buffet of fragrant flowers all summer in your yard and they will make sure your peas and beans get pollinated too

I'm on most of what ur saying but sometimes "pretty" flowers make it so certain bugs and pest won't eat ur food so might not be edible or medicine but still very useful ❤️

Another weed plant that's awesome is : Indian Paintbrush (Castilleja spp.) is a, largely, North American wildflower historically used by Native American tribes for medicinal and nutritional purposes, notably containing high levels of selenium. Traditionally used to treat rheumatism, skin wounds, and act as a hair conditioner, it is often used as a tea or tincture. Grows all over my yard.
