@simply_cichlids_: Anotha one ☝🏼💦 For everyone out there that says “I have good filtration & wave makers, I don’t have any poop in my tank” -Yes you do.. just move your decor and it’s under there 🤷🏻‍♂️🫣 Weekly water changes are a must for me, especially on an overstocked african cichlid tank. It’s very beneficial, provides your tank with fresh water, & replenishes minerals. I use @MicrobeLift xtreme to make my tap water safe, fish protector to reduce stress and protect slime coat, & special blend bi-weekly for added beneficial bacteria 🦠 I raise my water hardness & add minerals found in Lake Malawi with @Seachem Laboratories cichlid lake salt & raise the PH to 8.2-8.4 with malawi/victoria buffer 🧂 My glass stays clean from using a @Flipper Aquarium Products max flipper edge & splash mat to ensure my floor stays dry during the whole process. 💪🏼 My water stays nice and clean thanks to @Fluval FX6 and FXUVC 💧 #simplycichlids #malawicichlids #waterchangewednesday

Got a question my 2 month old tank got the brown diatom algae from what I read I just gotta let it run its course. I been cleaning my surface sand lightly and scrubbing edge if tank but it’s starting to grow on my rock structure. I do water changes once a week and all levels are good. Any ideas?
