Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: Shortly after 3:35 AM on January 13, 2024, Officer Keith Brown of the Tampa Police noticed a 2017 Jeep speeding on I-275 southbound. The vehicle was going about 75 MPH in a zone where the limit was 55 MPH. Officer Brown turned on his lights, and the driver pulled over safely on the shoulder. He approached the car and spoke with the driver, who was identified as 23-year-old Mya Murdock. While talking, the officer saw signs she might be impaired and smelled alcohol. She said she had just picked up a passenger from SoHo, and they were heading home. Mya denied drinking too much. Officer Scott Van Treese was called to the scene to perform field sobriety tests. He arrived around 3:44 AM and asked her to step out of the vehicle. Officer Van Treese started with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. Then he took her to a nearby Walmart gas station for the other tests. The first was the Walk and Turn test. During this, Mya failed to touch heel-to-toe properly and made an improper turn. The second test was the One Leg Stand. She couldn't raise her foot as instructed. Because of her speeding, signs of impairment, admission to drinking, and poor performance on the tests, Mya was arrested for DUI. Officer Van Treese took her to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office for processing. Her blood alcohol content was between 0.205 and 0.223.
