In 2021 my curly hair was SO damaged. I’d been dying it blonde, heat styling and straightening it way more than I should have, and overall neglecting it and not taking care of it 🥺 In 2022, It got so bad I knew I HAD to chop it short if I wanted my curls to come back and for my hair to be healthy again. I’d never had my hair this short but as soon as I cut it made such a difference! I completely stopped highlighting and dying it and honestly I don’t know if I ever will again. I also started straightening it only twice a year and intentionally taking care of my hair.
