I’ve been in Cocoa Beach three times in the last 15 years and they did that. It’s awful when you spend a ton of money to stay on the beach and that equipment is running 24 seven. But it needs to be done.

Dredging companies rebuild beaches when they need it. Happens all over Florida to Texas even dig the ship channels deeper so the ships can travel in to dock without issues.

I totally understand the “why” but I’m curious if water itself in time erodes the beach what would happen if nature just took its course? I mean this is something we’re proactively doing yet uninhibited beaches are doing just fine without this being done every so often..
