hot take, but mafia 2 is more repetitive than 3. I genuinely found mafia 2 to be the worst of the franchise, and 3 to be the best (only slightly above Definitive Edition). I just don't like how much mafia 2 got wrong about the early 50s culture, the level design is boring, everywhere basically looks the same, the map layout is just wacky, world building is basically nonexistent - leading to an empty feeling world, it's just a mediocre mafia game. It feels like someone took mafia 1 and dunked it in a lukewarm bath of what the general public views the 1950s to be.
