Instead of giving the main character easy power, it shows real consequences and emotional struggle. First, the main character Subaru is very human. He isn’t strong or naturally talented, and his ability “Return by Death” forces him to experience failure, pain, and the loss of people he cares about again and again. This makes his growth feel real because every victory comes from learning, improving, and refusing to give up.

It was 2 years ago exactly when I finished watching Rezero for the first time, I remember being so sad that is over until I found out season 3 was dropping later that year. I was lucky because I don't know if I could survive back in 2016 waiting for the next season. Rezero changed my life, best anime ever.

I watched Re zero in summer 2025, almost a year ago, for the first time. I watched it almost everyday, it was my first anime to watch without knowing what's going to happen from the spoilers. Every episode was something completely new that I have never seen before, unlike other animes i watched where I knew what was going to happend from the spoilers I got. But when i reached a certain point in re zero, i stopped. Not because it was bad, but because I didn't have the motivation to. I moved on, but now a year later, I finally realized that Re zero is the best anime for a completely new experience to watch once. Fortunately or unfortunately, I will watch re zero from the start once again, yet I know that this time I'll know what happens in most episodes, and that I'll never be able to get that feeling of watching Re zero for the first time.😔
