As a server with two kiddos and a husband I made almost 75k last year. We live comfortably. I’m home with my kids every night besides Fridays. Some people don’t realize how much money is to be made in the service industry.

Love to see this!! My husband is also a server and we have 2 kids. We live comfortably! I feel like when I tell other people he’s a server we are getting judged. I love his schedule and he gets to be a present dad

I recently left the service industry for a 9-5, took a huge pay cut & I’m working double the hours. I’m happy with my choice but it made me realize people have NO idea how much money is in the industry!!!!

My husband is a server and I’m a bartender. We work at the same restaurant but opposite shifts. We’re in season right now so things are a bit crazy but when I tell you we have the most flexible schedules and are able to do whatever we want comfortably with our kids on our days off. It’s so hard to want to get into anything else.

What about health insurance/benefits? I serve and we pay for our children to have insurance but I don’t because it’s so expensive.

My 21 year old bartends/serves and made $120k last year. Lives and home with no real expenses just one stipulation while living, here. She must invest at least 40% of her income but is investing more. She’s okay with that and is hoping to retire by 40 with this plan.
