Does it have an internal battery that charges while it’s being used so that it can record while the car isn’t being used? Or do you need a separate cable that connects to the car battery?

How do you plug this in if you don’t use the wiring straight to the battery? And also if you put this straight to the battery does this drain out the battery?

Ok, so, that's pretty cool but I think it would be awesome if they could make a big rearview mirror mounted one like the ones I have, and maybe make it so you can flip through Back -> Left/Right (Split view) -> Front. Or maybe even make it super wide and have the side views on the edges of the screen and make it optional to take it off and you can switch the middle to front and back. Would be great for watching blind spots!
