There are shrines all over singapore. Those are shrines of pious people which cannot be removed. The Gov tried but failed. Recently while working at the Samulun island i witnessed one which belongs to Sheikh Habib Ahmad (Son of Shaikh Habib Noh wali) in the Samulun Island. There is history behind these shrines. Be respectful.
