The reason why is because Trump didnt sell the oil at market and instead he gave it to oil companies and they will pay it back someday. It was a gift to oil companies and not relief for the people

400 million barrels is a 20 day stopgap. And it reduced the global reserves. It’s counterproductive to control cost.

I just paid $4.45/gal in PHX. I expected a big increase, but I was shocked. It was $3.65/gal 2 weeks ago
