We got to witness our oldest, Laney Grace, get baptized. This momma was fighting back tears. There’s something about allowing your child to make the choice of when THEY are ready to give their life over to Christ. On my 20th birthday, big and pregnant, I walked up to the front of our church and decided to give my life to our Savior. It was a special moment I will never be able to forget as I got to share this moment with my growing baby. Little did I know that Laney would be born early…just 4 short days later. Unfortunately, Laney had a rough start to life. She was born with Gastroschesis (a condition where her intestines were on the outside of her body) that ended up getting infected. The doctors then drew a circle around the infected area and told me that if her infection spread outside of it then it could be fatal. As a young (first time) mother, I was terrified! All I knew to do was to lean further into my faith and trust that our lord was MIGHTY and a HEALER! I asked my grandfather, who is a preacher, to come pray over her. I asked my mom, who was a flight attendant at the time and knew people near and far, to tell everyone she knew to pray over her. I asked everyone I knew to pray! Laney had her own prayer army behind her and through the power of prayer, she was HEALED!! Look at her today…a beautiful child of God!! Her growing faith and relationship with our Lord and Savior keeps me in awe. We are so proud of you Laney! . . . . . . . #baptism #baptized #walkoffaith #testimony
