My legs, especially my thighs, and huge calves are just impossible to get rid off. I can lose 10kg my legs would be the same.

Honestly Doja coming out about it was eye opening. I had no idea what it was, and literally looked it up and have every symptom. My legs & arms have always been bigger and as much as I diet and work out, it never comes off. You can very visibly see it on my legs. When I saw photos of others with it, a lightbulb went off. I literally went to my doctor for unexplained bruising, painful legs, and frustrated I couldn’t loose weight and they shrugged me off years ago.

Just be aware I went to GP and was totally turned a way even my local lymphoedema clinic was awful. I believe they only diagnose later stages. But I’m stage 1 live in pain everyday. But just because a GP says no does not mean u don’t have it.

I can't get massages of any kind in my leg because they HURT and those nodules feel like hard marbles of fat 😭

Can I ask do you get pain in your legs especially at night that wakes you up ? I think i my have this & get throbbing pains in my thighs that are worse at nighttime?

I always thought that I am just gaining weight to my legs but it is not simple. Do not underestimate it, I have seen a doctor, now I know that I have stage 1 lipedema. At least I am more gentle to myself because until this time I was comparing myself but now I am taking control 🙏🏻

This type of community is so refreshing to see because when I was young, I didn’t know anyone with legs like mine. And I spent years feeling so much shame. And now? I see there’s other people just like me struggling and figuring out how to help themselves without shame. ❤️

You can go to your gp & they will have to google it 😱 for years I went asking what was up with my fat swollen ankles & they shrugged. Only after Shauna from love island talked about it, I realised I had it too & told my GP
