Good heavens it shouldn’t be a fight! It’s all about preference. There’s no wrong or right way! I use the grip first for the same reasons you do. It’s what works for me. Not everyone maybe, but it doesn’t for me, which makes it the right way for ME. 🩵

That used to confuse me too at first but then tried it, I started doing it and now I wear it like that quite often because I'm always pulling my hair out with those adjuster straps. If it wasn't for people posting to do it that way I would have never tried it so thank you!!!
