I get frustrated that there is a collective that thinks these films are “trauma” these movies were amazing in telling stories of complexities and darkness. Not all things are easy and simple and children should learn about how complex life is and embrace it for all the joy and the terror for how else will they learn to choose better? I am grateful I had these movies and they taught me so much, more than any non dramatic story, because it’s important that we see metaphors of monsters and terror that reflects life.
