My sons counselor told my son he was reaching to high to want to be a doctor. When my son came home from school and told me he was no longer going to go to medical school I became angry. I knew my son was very bright and would make a great Dr. I encouraged him to continue to work for his dream. He became a doctor at the age of 27 and make partner the following year at a very respected hospital. I w

My teacher picked my career. I had to be a balloon girl. The rest of the kids got good careers like lawyers and doctors. I was so humiliated. I was the poor kid in class. I grew up to be a teacher so no other kids I taught would ever feel that way. My dream is that the children I taught have good stories to tell about me. You sir are an inspiration.

That is horrible. I am glad you achieved your goals. I had a teacher tell me not to go to college but go to a trade school instead. I earned a Master’s degree. I wish she could see me now!

My daughter wanted to be a doctor, her teacher in high school she should be a nurse instead why does she want to be a doctor. She felt so sad when the teacher told her that in high school and she never forgot it up this day. My daughter is now a Research scientist at a prestigious cancer research hospital and she’s well respected and I’m extremely proud of her. She wants to meet that high school teacher so she can say what she does now
