By now, most people have seen the videos. A private aircraft missed its approach to Asaba Airport and ended up on a road under construction near Ogwashi-Uku. The internet focused on the drama. ✈️ The pilots. ✈️ The investigation. ✈️ The aviation violations. But I couldn’t stop looking at something else. THE ROAD Think about it. A multi-million naira aircraft didn’t land on an airport runway. It landed on a road that isn’t even fully completed yet. And hours later? The aircraft used that same stretch and departed successfully. Whether you’re interested in aviation or not, that should make you pause. Because years ago, many roads outside major city centres would have struggled to handle that kind of weight and pressure. But this road did. What most people saw as an aviation story quietly revealed something else: 🏗️ The physical standard of the infrastructure being built across this axis. We often judge development by what looks beautiful. New gates. New estates. New plazas. But real development starts beneath your tyres. The concrete. The drainage. The engineering. The foundation. That is what determines whether growth can actually survive. And that is what caught my attention. While everyone was looking at the aircraft, the road accidentally underwent a stress test nobody planned for. And it passed.✅ 📍 The roads connecting Asaba, Ogwashi-Uku and the wider Delta corridor are changing. 📍 The quality of infrastructure is changing. 📍 The conversation around development is changing. Most people saw a plane. I saw a glimpse of where this region is heading. 🏛️ Delta State is changing. Sometimes the biggest stories are hiding in plain sight. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 📍 ASABA INDEX 🏛️ City Files 📜 Documentation 🏗️ Development 📊 Opportunities Tracking the stories shaping Delta State before everyone else notices.
