As a Norwegian I don't think most people use any of those brands here to hike, but maybe it's a bit different since it's mostly mountain hiking. It's more sports wear forward. I have hiking pants that also zip off and become shorts. High waist and lots of pockets.

Thanks for this! I love the look of baggy hiking trousers, but (kinda weird question) are they loud when you’re walking? I worry I’d be out for some peace and quiet in nature and just hear myself walking 😂

I can't stand very baggy pants, because they get caught on stuff, and if it's hot I feel like my legs get sticky and it's so annoying 😅 Something snug to my legs feels waaay more comfortable.

I looove the Nia pants! They are a bit thicker, water resistant and dirt just roll right off! I wore them walking in bushes a lot and they always came out perfect
