@jasmin_caviezel: - Avoiding strength training. Cardio (and pilates) has its place, but neglecting muscle-building is going to cause problems down the road. Muscle supports metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and stress resilience, which are all crucial for ovulation to take place regularly. We need to challenge our muscles and continue giving them that stimulus to have the muscle mass to support our hormones long-term. Not to mention preventing osteoporosis as we age and our estrogen decreases 👀 - Buying another “hormone-balancing” supplement you saw recommended online. I get it, when we are desperate for a solution to our very real symptoms, we want to try everything. Supplements are definitely tools in our toolbox. But if you’re skipping meals, not eating vegetables/fruits, not sleeping enough, or not moving your body regularly, no supplement can magically fix all that. I know lifestyle changes are HARD and at the same time they WILL make a difference! - Going on restrictive diets hoping they’ll “reset” your cycle. Trying the newest juice fast, low fat, high fat, whatever else diet that is currently trending in the hopes that they will fix your hormones will likely backfire more than help. We have to keep in mind that these intense diets are often NOT sustainable. Yet we have to live long term with our hormones and they need continuous support. One “reset” won’t fix that. Real hormone healing isn’t found in the next trend. It’s found in lifting heavy things, eating real meals, and showing up consistently, even when no one’s watching. 🫶🏼
