for those that think a redeclare happens. according to the konami rule book and yugioh wiki "No, a replay (re-declaration) does not occur if an attacked monster is flipped face-down during the attack declaration. The attack continues against that same monster in face-down Defense"

how it works is attacking monster did not enter damage step only attack declaration has happened quick plays are gamestate interuptions resetting the attack declaration. however if u choose not to continue attack monster cannot attack.

They can re-declare attack but they don’t have to and they can moving to their second phase or end their turn

No you only have to reset declare an attack if the amount of monsters on the field changes. If a monster is flipped face down defense the attack then continues

They have to attack your facedown card. Book of moon doesn’t stop the attack.

If i remember correctly from my days playing YGO (feel so old lol) I believe attack can only be re-declared if the NUMBER of monsters changes of the field? So the attack would go through as before....right? Morphing Jar gets hit and gets to trigger its effect.

They still have to attack some people say the “attack target” is gone or change which isn’t technically true the attack target is still there the only thing that’s changed is the target position the attack still goes through
