For yachts that operate in both seasons, Mediterranean summers and Caribbean winters, crossing the Atlantic becomes part of the routine. And there are two main ways to do it. One option is to make the crossing under the yacht’s own power. This means carrying enough fuel, provisions, and crew for a multi-week passage. Only yachts with sufficient range and capability can realistically handle this journey. The other solution is yacht transport. Specialized carrier vessels load yachts on deck or submerge their platforms so the yacht can float directly onboard. It’s faster, avoids engine wear, and keeps the yacht fresh for the next season.
