for starters that wooden wick has been cut too low. needs a little more height. Secondly the wick size in the non wooden wick candles were the big issue ..I personally dont have a problem with pooling it doesn't take away from anything and you can always pour it out.its never been an issue with snuffing out my wicks .

On makes you can choose your wick based on your wax and jar type, I personally use coco apricot wax and I use 0.2 wicks. When I took my wicks for testing I took 5 different sizes of that thickness. If you took your wick from Amazon ….. I mean if you wanna sell the candles you should definitely get proper wicks, if it’s for yourself I don’t know, you could try double the wick but not every wick works with your combination that’s why we test. Testing takes time and money but at least you are making sure you won’t sell candles that don’t burn or burn too hot and are dangerous

Find a wick guide for your wax and your jar size. Most candle supply companies have them. The key to a successful candle is having the correct wick size that is compatable with you wax type and jar size. 💜

You have to measure the diameter of your glass before deciding how many wicks you need to use or what size of wick you need to use. Hope this helps.
