As someone who had been through th family report process- I couldn’t tell you how many errors were in our report and conclusions the writer drew that were not what was discussed. The family report writer we used hadn’t even read my case notes from my solicitor before the meetings but had read the other parties and was questioning me on things in his report that were untruths.

Does the original judge get briefed on the outcomes of appeals that they initially heard and ruled on? I’m just asking because I’m curious as to whether the first judge is informed of the error found and can research the points made/found in the appeal.

same thing happened in my case. Father made a family court affidavit saying one thing, and said another thing all together in criminal court. his family court affidavit was actually used as evidence to put him behind bars in the criminal court case.
