@chrisrenovates: How to silicone a shower wet room. After yesterdays disaster it’s time to silicone all the gaps in the shower wall floor and walls to give it that extra layer of waterproofing. Plumbers, question for you at the end.

Hi mate, me again; you need to tanking tape and tanking membrane over ALL the board joints and the screws and washers (Aquaseal is a good brand). PLEASE do this BEFORE tiling..

you need to tank and tape the haps you will end up with problems in a wetroom corners all haps with appropriate tape and tanking or sheeting

I used wedi board - they do a sealant, which seals like rubber - not cheap but no taping needed. Use it on joints and screws
