I’m starting to wonder if maybe it’s God’s will for more and more people to be single right now. So many of us would love to be married and are single for no apparent reason. I know so many amazing Godly people who can’t seem to meet someone, no matter what they do, myself included. I wonder if maybe right now God is setting us apart for something else and even though our desire is to be married we need to be obedient to this calling right now. Just something I’ve been wondering.

I’ve been single all of the 26 years of my life on this earth and I think I still look younger than I am because I’ve never put pressure on myself to seek out any romantic relationship even though society pressures us to 😅 My thought is that if it’s in God’s will for my life then it will happen, but I’m not going to put unnecessary anxiety on my shoulders. I’ve given up my need to control that. I’ve given that over to God, in the waiting I will do what God calls me to do in my life, He will give me the blessings He knows will be good to me. Don’t know a man’s experience with this but what I can tell you is to put it in prayer and leave it up to God and I will advice to delete the apps. Don’t ruminate on it too much. God bless you 🙏🏻

Ask God to reveal to you anything hindering the person He designed specifically for you from being made known to you. Intentional, specific prayer! It may not happen when or how you want it to - but He WILL answer!

I’ve been single for a really long time now. One thing that really changed my perspective is a blog that I read like 8 years ago. She wrote “we are not promised marriage”. That made something click in my soul. We are promised so many things in scripture. Marriage is not one of those things. I’m still made whole in Christ. Because of the work of Jesus I’m not lacking anything, even single. My life is still about Glorifying God. He is faithful and he will never fail me. I can trust God with my relationship status. Romance is no longer a pillar of my focus. If I get married, God is glorified. If I don’t, God is glorified. My identity, value, joy, worth, purpose are secure! It’s a beautiful rock to be on.

I think my problem is that I don’t actually know any single people. Lol. All my friends are married. And I’m not always convinced I hang out where single men linger (I most frequent coffee shops and bookstores). Lol

I actively think we should have more ministry opportunities open to singles, and doing life/faith together in day to day. Finding people you have some things in common with to either meet people, or help your friends meet people. But, I think you’re right… it’s isolation. We are isolated in all of our activities, thought processes, jobs, hobbies, etc. and we need to be open to spending more time doing things where we can find like minded people for ourselves or our friends.

I've tried so many apps and every time the guy never wanted to just have a conversation. it was always very rushed and I'm not about that. thankfully I'm in a place for the first time in my life that I'm good if God keeps me single. I have so many things I want to do that I probably couldn't do married.

The apps are not it. For me anyway. I feel way too many people have gotten used to using it as a crutch and just for a simple loneliness filler with no intention of going further. I live in FL panhandle and I will say we do not have that in our church ( a singles community) I feel not everyone would find their person but some may. I think friends of friends is where it’s gonna happen but idk. It became draining. I figure if I focus of me and my relationship with God then it won’t seem like such a long wait to find my person. I really have way too many views in this to sum it all up on line.

I’m glad I saw your video today. I’m in Knoxville and I want to avoid the apps but everyone in my church is either married or too young for me. I’ve lost hope recently but not feeling alone in it helps 🩷
