The consumer needs to expect less from their cars. No headed seats no remote start leather seats or any of the luxuries. Consumers can change their attitude

all of this would stop if people would stop buying new cars every couple of years when they have a perfectly working car and made sure to buy a reliable car from the start.

I agree. People have been talking about a crash for a while. Look at any other consumer goods, prices never come down. Corporations would rather lose money and even go out of business before giving the customer a discount.

Bro, you must be getting paid, finance companies that our primary automobile lenders are going out of business. There will be plenty of cars sitting on lots.. don’t ever say prices won’t come down

The last time I bought a new car and paid cash was in 2000. A Maxima SE. The car lasted me to 2023 when it was not worth fixing anymore and was rusted out. Went and bought a Camry xLE. A low mileage, showroom condition, from a Toyota dealer. It was a trade in. I’m retired 7 Years and can’t pay cash for a new car. Hell. I can’t even buy a used car without having it financed. Even this car is costing me $200 every 2 weeks for 60 months. Fortunately, other than oil changes, the car hasn’t costed me $1 in any repairs. I’m in Canada btw. So those prices are Canadian. I hope this is my last car.

you do realize they make more on options than they do the actual car. they need to stop loaning these cars up with crap that people don't want or don't need. they got to get back to the basic automobile

people can't afford trucks and SUVs for 80,90,100,000 dollars. and now with the price of gas high what's the other option?

the biggest three will have no choice but to lower prices or get out sold by nissan & toyota introducing a pickup around 10k...bare bones with rubber floor mats and no a/c, a work truck plus any options are extra🤪

I could easily afford to buy a new car. But I'd rather keep my money and keep driving my meticulously maintained 1993 Camry with 521,000 Mike's on it. Its reliable, comfortable, and absurdly cheap to own and drive.
